GREEN BAY, WI -- It was all about getting as many toys as possible today at the Eastside Wal-Mart today.
The Fill the Truck event helps gather new toys and coats for kids in need. When shoppers arrive, they get a list of suggested gifts, and then they buy some and add to the collection.
More than 2,500 Wal-Mart stores participated.
“It does allow us to be in the store and be able to talk with the shoppers as they're coming in and just ask them if they'd be interested in helping someone in our community,” said Nan Pahl with the Salvation Army.
Wal-Mart partners up with the Salvation Army of Brown County to give out the toys.
