Game Day Brawl, One in Hospital, Two in Jail
ASHWAUBENON – A fight after Sunday's Packers victory over the Vikings lands two people in jail, and one in the hospital.
This happened around 3:30 p.m. Sunday in the parking lot of the "Sideline Sports Bar." Officers were called to a fight with about 20-30 people involved.
Officers found a 50-year-old man unconscious and bleeding from the head.
According to witnesses the victim was trying to break up a fight between the other two when he was hit. He remains hospitalized.
Witnesses directed police to the suspect who allegedly hit the victim. The 40-year-old Lakeland Minnesota man was taken into custody and later jailed on a felony "Substantial Battery" charge.
"Sideline," owner Kevin Burkel says, "We've had four incidents in the last 13-years. And one of them was a Chicago Bears incident and this one was a Minnesota incident." Burke
Burkel says he had bouncers working yesterday but since he wasn't hosting any outside tents, his staff couldn't break up the fight in time. "Don't try and take things in your own hands. Come and get help inside or immediately dial 9-11."
A Green Bay man was also arrested on a "Misdemeanor Disorderly Conduct" charge.
