GREEN BAY, WI – Shopping, shopping, and more shopping! If you didn't get enough in this weekend, today is Cyber Monday.
This year there are record-breaking numbers. Millions of Americans are expected to hunt for deals online, and almost everything can be done without leaving your home.
“You don’t have that physical push and shove,” said Jennifer Jacobson Carew, a consumer advocate in Green Bay.
She bought a few things online this morning, deals she couldn’t pass up.
“So on Cyber Monday, you're going to find the deals online, but you're not going to find them in the stores that day,” she said.
Some of the best deals can be found on electronics, games and tech devices, but remember it’s the web.
“You’re not competing with a couple of hundred people, like you do on Black Friday, you're competing with possibly millions,” said Jacobson Carew.
Cyber Monday is also a big day for locally-headquartered Shopko.
“We're going to do twice the amount of sales that we did at Shopko.com last year,” said Mike Sidders, the Vice President of E-Commerce at Shopko.
Convenience is one reason Cyber Monday continues to grow, especially for their target customer; the working mom.
“She can buy all those items; have them shipped to directly to her house. Makes it really convenient for her,” said Sidders.
They're also offering free shipping today, like many other places. Or there's the option for in-store-pick up, but it's all about making it easy for the consumer.
“We're open 24/7,” said Sidders. “Whenever they're available, whenever they have the time to do it.”
So if you're still looking for that perfect gift, it might be right at your fingertips. Most of these deals last until midnight on Monday.
