APPLETON--  Lt. Governor Rebecca Kleefisch stopped in Appleton Friday to promote the 13th annual Deer Donation Program. This program has stocked food pantries with more than 3.5 million pounds of venison since 2000. Cedar Creek in Appleton is one of about 25 sanctioned drop off sites in Northeast Wisconsin. The program is funded through donations and a $2.00 surcharge on every license sold for the gun-deer season.
