In a thrilling finish at Kimberly High School, Waupaca edged West De Pere to earn a trip to the Division 3 state finals at Camp Randall in Madison.
Waupaca running back Beau Ash rushed for a touchdown and kicked the game-winning field goal with 1:13 left in the 4th quarter, to push his team to a 16-14 win.
West De Pere had not lost a game since 2009, and were the 2-time reigning division 3 state champs.
