Appleton schools are teaming up with the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center. The goal is to create a new program focused on using arts in the classroom. The PAC is hosting three different workshops for teachers to teach them how to incorporate drama into their reading lessons.
"So, we'll have a professional teaching artist here working hands-on with about twenty teachers from the area learning how they can integrate drama and help their students learn more about reading comprehension," said Amy Gosz with the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center.
Two other PAC workshops which will focus on writing and science are scheduled for early next year.
