Cell Phone Law Takes Effect
A new cell phone ban is now in effect for teenage drivers in Wisconsin.
Those with a probationary drivers license or instruction permit will no longer be allowed to talk on their phones while driving.
State law already prohibits all drivers from texting while driving.
"I totally understand, I've heard a lot of accidents it's really bad to use a cell phone while you're driving, so," said Casey Melott.
"It's basically saying that we're too irresponsible to handle it, when I know there's a lot more people that aren't responsible that are older than our age, so," said Samantha Boch.
Teens caught using their cell phones in the car can be fined from $20-$100.
