DARBOY, WI -- Charlie Knuth is back home in Darboy today after spending months in the hospital. Charlie suffers from a rare skin disease and is recovering from his second stem cell treatment. His latest illness was a setback to a previous stem-cell transplant. But his mother explains how good it feels to be home
"Charlie hasn't been in his bed in almost 6 months now,” said Trisha Knuth. “I forgot what my house looks like, and just to see my children again. It just feels wonderful. I’m just so relieved, and I am so thankful for everyone what they've done for us.”
Charlie was greeted by a welcome home party at the Darboy Corner Store where family, friends and strangers have been dropping off donations all week.
