APPLETON, WI – Appleton Police arrested a suspect after a standoff this morning. It happened at 9:55 a.m. when an individual came into the lobby of the police station to report a domestic battery. The incident involved a weapon. Appleton Police then responded to the 2400 block of N. Division Street. and began to block off an area around the house.

 

Residents in the area were notified. Several of the nearby homes were evacuated by police. 

 

Around 1:30 p.m., Appleton Police SWAT saw the suspect on the porch outside of the house, and they were taken into custody without incident. The suspect is being held at the Outagamie County Jail.
