Chemical Leak Causes Evacuation
Ammonia Based Product at ChemDesign Corp
Marinette, WI -
A chemical release of an ammonia based product at ChemDesign Corp in Marinette lead to the evacuation of nearly 300 employees Tuesday night.
The plant is near Marinette Marine, and some workers complained of nauseau and headache. They were sent home as a precaution. No one sought medical treatment.
The Hazardous Materials Team remained on scene throughout the night to monitor the air quality of the buildings and two vessels being built.
The cause of the release is being investigated by ChemDeisgn personnel.
