On Wednesday, October 3rd, many local elementary and middle schools will participate in International Walk to School Day. Students will walk to school with their parents, caregivers or grandparents. More than 60 schools and 10,000 students will participate.
The purpose is to improve walking and biking travel options, decrease auto-related emissions and promote healthier lifestyles in children at an early age.
