GREEN BAY, WI--It's the first packers game with the "real referees" back on the field. This on the heels of the controversial call that resulted in a loss to the Seattle Seahawks on Monday. That loss to the Seahawks helped sparked a deal between the NFL and the referees to end the lockout.

Packers fans rejoicing Sunday, saying win or lose the integrity of the game is no longer compromised.

"It's gonna be a more honest game," said fan Michael Lombardi.

Some fans even in costume mocking the replacement refs. Other bearing signs or wearing special t shirts, still upset by Monday night's controversial call.

Everyone saying the NFL is better off now than a week ago.

"Not just the Packers but every team going forward in the league will have a fair playing field and not have to worry about any more botched calls," said fan Terry McNamee.

Packers fan or not these fans want professionals out on the field, confident it'll make for a fairer game.

"I'm happy to have the real refs back. They have the experience. They're not college or high school refs," said Saints fan Zac Burton.

Some say if the real refs weren't back they would be too disgusted to come to the game.

"It's a great thing they're back. I feel there would be a lot of people not wanting to be in that stadium today. I would have boycotted it myself," said fan Chopper Lambert.

This Sunday was day for the green and gold and their fans to put the past behind them and look forward to a Super Bowl win in the future.
