 New bomb squad robots are the focus of this year's international bomb squad training conference in Green Bay. The robots are starting to play a larger part in what the bomb squads do. So experts say this training is very important. The robots help keep the bomb squad out of harm's way. Fifteen dogs will also be at this weekend's conference receiving bomb detecting training. 

The Brown/Outagamie County Sheriff's Office Bomb Squad is hosting the IABT (International Association of Bomb Technicians and Investigators) annual Region III In-Service Training Conference at the Rock Gardens Conference Center located at 1951 Bond Street, Green Bay, Wisconsin. The conference is being held from September 23-28, 2012 from 8:00 AM - 5:00 pm. Attending the conference is professionals from local and state law enforcement agencies, fire and emergency services, the military, forensic sciences and other specialized fields from around the 10-state region that encompasses Region III.
