Wells Vehicle Electronics Breaks Ground
A global company based in Fond du Lac broke ground today on a $7.1 million expansion. Wells Vehicle Electronics is building a new corporate headquarters that will increase jobs within the company by 30%. Established in 1903, Wells has called Fond du Lac, Wis., home for 109 years.
The $7.1 million project allows Wells to relocate its Brooke Street corporate office employees and construct its new headquarters adjacent to the company's current electronics manufacturing complex on Rolling Meadows Drive. Funded in part by the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation, City of Fond du Lac and Fond du Lac County Economic Development Corporation, the 64,000 square-foot facility includes administrative offices, engineering labs, test labs, a state-of-the-art automotive tech garage and a tool room to support new product development, and expands its Fond du Lac-based manufacturing space by 40%.
