One Dead After Motorcycle Crash
TOWN OF GREEN VALLEY, WI – One man is dead after a motorcycle crash in Shawano County. This happened around 7:00 p.m. Saturday, on CTH E near Plier Road. Officials have identified the victim as 48 year-old Scott K. Courchaine of Gillett, Wisconsin.
Police say the man had severe head trauma, and was not wearing a helmet. He was pronounced dead at the scene by the Shawano County Deputy Coroner.
A preliminary investigation shows the motorcycle was travelling eastbound on CTH E. The driver crossed the centerline and entered the gravel edge along the road. He attempted to pull the motorcycle back onto the roadway, but landed in a ditch. The motorcycle began to roll and the driver was ejected.
The crash remains under investigation but it appears alcohol may have been a factor in the crash.
