Ryan Rallies at Ashwaubenon Town Hall
ASHWAUBENON, WI--Paul Ryan is hot on the campaign trail right here in Northeast Wisconsin. The vice presidential candidate spoke to people in Ashwaubenon Wednesday, hoping to swing the state red.
The last time Wisconsin went Republican in a presidential election was in 1984.
But VP candidate Paul Ryan was rallying hard today to make this the year that all changes.
Ryan began his remarks at a town hall meeting near Green Bay on Wednesday asking for a moment of silence for those killed in the attacks in Egypt and Libya.
Ryan says the attacks that killed four Americans are "outrageous." He says, "This is outrageous. Our hearts are heavy and our thoughts and prayers are with the victims and their families."
He also says, "This is a time for healing. It's a time for resolve. In the face of such a tragedy, we are reminded that the world needs American leadership."
