Appleton-- 41-year-old Rodney Schreiber is accused of stealing more than $20,000 dollars from the Fox Valley Youth Baseball League to pay off gambling debts. Schreiber was arrested September 4th. He is out on bond.
President of Fox Valley Youth Baseball League, Chad Spaulding says his board of directors first noticed a problem in July when checks started to bounce. Schreiber was in charge of handling the league's money. When the league tried paying for tournaments and umpire fees in July and August, checks started coming back. According to Spaulding, he and the board started an investigation. He says bank statement show credit card transactions at a casino. Spaulding says he turned that information over to police.
