A portion of a busy highway in Brown County is now closed for construction. Highway 29 at Packerland Drive in Green Bay closed today to make improvements to the Highway 29-41 interchange. Traffic will be re-routed onto Shawano Avenue on a marked detour until September 12th. DOT officials say that route will likely be very congested, so local drivers are being encouraged to find their own route around the construction zone. The $97 million project is expected to be completed in October of 20-14.
