History of the Automobile
Date: Saturday, September 8, 2012
Time: 10:00am-4:30pm
Cost: $9 for adults, $8 for seniors (over 62), $7 for children 4-17, children 3 and under are FREE. Heritage Hill members are also FREE.
Transport through time and experience the impact of the automobile on the lives of people and society in Northeast Wisconsin. The History of the Automobile special event taking place at Heritage Hill State Historical Park will show how our region has contributed in the production, distribution, and maintenance of automobiles and various other vehicles.
Visit with owners and view over 60 automobiles beginning with the horseless carriage days through modern times. Walk this automobile time line and see how the style and designs of automobiles have changed and impacted the lives of people and society. See the 1935 Ford Coupe that was featured in the movie "Public Enemies" filmed in Oshkosh. Also view antique tractors, military vehicles and the vintage Schneider National truck
Feel the rush of racing electric slot cars or drag race your own Hot Wheels car on a six lane drag strip. Also take a horse drawn wagon ride. Enjoy a variety of other activities throughout the park for all interests and ages. For more details go to www.heritagehillgb.org.
Heritage Festival

Celebrate heritage honoring the Belgian, French, German, Irish, and Native American cultures.
Enjoy traditional music featuring the Clete Bellin Orchestra and Junge Kameraden German Band from Plymouth High School. See traditional Irish and Native American dancing.
Make cheese, rope and sauerkraut. Have fun playing historic games, crafts and many other hands on activities!
Enjoy a beer making demonstration in our Belgian Farm area; visit with members of the Polish Heritage Society, Seymour Dairy Products and the Evergreen Quilters.
Trace your family tree and speak with Mary Jane Herber, a local Historian, to learn more about your genealogy.
