Vintage Planes at EAA Grounds
A trip through history today at EAA in Oshkosh. More than a dozen vintage planes including bi-planes made an appearance today at Pioneer Airport. All the planes have been meticulously restored and are touring the Midwest as part of the American Barnstormers Tour. The EAA facility has a grass airstrip and classic round-roof hangars that are reminiscent of the 1930s aerodromes where these airplanes originally flew. The tour requested a brief stop at EAA because of these unique facilities. Such arrivals are not allowed during the EAA AirVenture fly-in because of the extremely high air traffic levels.
