TOWN OF MENASHA, WI--It was 20 years ago this Sunday when Laurie Depies disappeared. Two decades later, police are still trying to close the case.
The 20-year-old was last seen on August 19th, 1992. She vanished after driving to her boyfriend's apartment in the town of Menasha. In 2010 a prison inmate in North Carolina, Larry Dewayne Hall, confessed to killing Depies--but her body has not been found.
Investigators are now hoping Hall's confession will eventually lead them to her remains so they can solve the case and give closure to the family.
