Appleton, Wis. – Outagamie County Executive Thomas Nelson is scheduled to be one of several speakers at an event marking the kickoff of Outagamie County’s participation in the Crossover Youth Project sponsored in part by the MacArthur Foundation and Robert F. Kennedy Children’s Action Corps. Also scheduled to speak are John Tuell and Jessica Heldman of the Robert F. Kennedy Children’s Action Corps. Outagamie County will receive new, cutting edge tools and technical assistance during a twelve month period to improve outcomes for youth and families that are dually involved in the child welfare and juvenile justice systems.

“We are honored to be among just four counties nationwide chosen to participate in this initiative,” Nelson said. “It speaks volumes about the leadership and quality of service our county performs.”

Outagamie County joins Hampden County (MA), Newton County (GA) and Santa Clara County (CA) as the only counties accepted into the program.
