Green Bay-- If you are on empty, fill up today! Don't wait. Gas station owners say prices are going to jump, Friday. Price for fuel, wholesale, has gone up about 40 cents in the last week but many gas stations have not passed that entire increase along to customers but they will have to soon.

On Thursday some gas stations in the Green Bay area were selling gas at 10 cents a gallon cheaper than what they paid for it. Now, they have to play catch-up while their costs continue to go up.

Why the rise in cost? Northeast Wisconsin gets its gas from pipelines that begin near Chicago refineries, travel along Lake Michigan, eventually reaching Appleton and Green Bay. A pipeline leak two weeks ago and new problems for seperate refineries in Illinios is cutting down how much fuel is making it up here. A drop in supply will continue until these issues are fixed. So, until then, drivers and gas station owners will be paying more. 4 bucks a gallon? We've almost reached it.
