Seven in Custody After Teen Shot to Death
ONEIDA/GREEN BAY, WI--Green Bay Police report they have arrested seven people in connection to the shooting death of Jeremy Teller. Five were taken into custody late Wednesday night, two more were taken into custody Thursday.
They are Celia Holguin of Green Bay, Miguel Garcia of Oneida, Bradley Tower of Green Bay, Julio Gonzalez from Onidea and Samual Godinez of Chicago, Terrill Gutierez and Issac Robbs.
The suspects are facing charges ranging from First Degree Intentional Homicide, Attempted Homicide to Party to a Crime.
Green Bay Police say one of the men involved; Bradley Tower, got into a fight earlier in the afternoon, and went looking for the man he fought. That led them to the house at 1127 Smith Street, where Jeremy Teller was.
Teller and his friend were leaving the house. That’s when police say Julio Gonzalez fired two shots. One of the shots missed Teller’s friend, the other shot hit 15 year-old Jeremy Teller in the back.
"Jeremy Teller was in the wrong place, at the wrong time. And wasn't involved with these individuals,” said Lt. Andy Lewis with the Green Bay Police.
Green Bay Police say they’re getting some cooperation from the suspects. They are expected in court tomorrow for an initial appearance.
Teller’s family is still mourning the loss.
"He was a kid. He was little boy, a young man. He hasn't even reached full manhood. All of his hopes and dreams are gone,” said Fawne Teller, Jeremy’s cousin.
She said they are sharing memories and leaning on each other.
"Justice will take its course. And they'll all be punished accordingly," said Fawne Teller.
Visitation services will be held on Sunday for Jeremy Teller. Funeral services will take place on Monday.
