An area veteran has repainted and restored a fighter plane used by the Air Force in the Korean War. The F-86L fighter plane is on display outside of Appleton's American Legion Post 38. Veteran Paul Kryszak spent about two weeks repainting the jet and he still has to add some stripes to the wings and a few other details.

He was also involved in restoring a military cannon that's on display along Memorial Drive in Appleton.
