Green Bay-- It’s an economic shot in the arm for Northeast Wisconsin, as plans are announced to bring an $11 million dollar medical college to  Green Bay. The Medical College of Wisconsin is expanding to a pair of Wisconsin cities and Green Bay has been chosen as one of those cities.

The exact location must still be decided but the medical college is expected to be up and running by 2015. The college will move into an existing building in order to avoid the costs of new construction. It will initially enroll up to 25 students, with a goal of having up to 100 students.

City leaders say it's an important part of recruiting and keeping some of the best and brightest medical students here in the Green Bay area.
