WAUSHARA COUNTY - A rollover crash leaves one person dead and another injured.
This happened Friday in Waushara County, on Badger Road north of Beechnut Road in the Town of Leon just west of Poy Sippi. A 1997 Buick Sky Lark hit a stump and an electric pole.
The driver of the vehicle, Jason S. Schneider, 27, from the Pine River area was pronounced dead at the scene by the Waushara County Coroner as a result of multiple injuries. The passenger in the vehicle, Tyler B. Yonke, 26, from the West Bloomfield area was transported to Berlin Memorial Hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
The crash remains under investigation by Waushara County Deputies. Speed, alcohol and failure to wear safety belts appear to be contributing factors in the death and injuries.
This is the 3rd traffic fatality for 2012 in Waushara County.
