Cherry Crop Suffering
Door County's cherry crop might not make the cut this summer.
Orchards in the area typically produce about 10 million pounds of cherries in a single season. This year the crop could be less than half a million pounds. The unseasonably warm temperatures in March this year and then a dozen hard frosts killed a large percentage of the cherry crop.
