Green Bay-- Candidates for the next election, the republican primary for U.S. Senate, are traveling the state looking for votes. Former U.S. Rep. Mark Neumann made a stop in Green Bay as he tries to sway voters for the August primary.
Neumann insists he's the most conservative candidate looking to take on Democrat Tammy Baldwin in November. "We took 6 months writing the plan it would balance the federal budget in a 5 year period of time by cutting $1.4 trillion of spending and cutting Obama care,” Neumann said.
Political experts say the primary battle will be contentious and hard fought. The winner hopes to fill Herb Kohl's senate seat with a republican for the first time in nearly 55 years.
The republican primary is just nine weeks away, on Tuesday August 14th. Tammy Baldwin is running unopposed.
