Chemical Spill Shuts Down 41
APPLETON--A chemical spill shuts down two lanes of Highway 41 Saturday morning. It happened around 8:30 on Highway 41 north of Prospect Avenue. Crews were busy cleaning the road for several hours. Investigators say a trailer being hauled just south of College Avenue leaked about 200 gallons of a flammable liquid. There's reports it sprayed on several cars on the highway all the way from Oshkosh. If your car was sprayed, firefighters suggest to clean it off immediately--and wear long sleeves, rubber gloves, and safety glasses. They say the liquid can irritate your skin if it comes in contact with it.
