DE PERE, WI - Local veterans looking for work got some help Wednesday.
Several state departments worked together to put on this career and benefits fair at St. Norbert College. About 100 veterans came to network and explore job opportunities with more than 50 businesses.
Jim Warner from the WI Office of Veteran Services says, "It's just a real proud day for the veterans. And once again I really appreciate the businesses that chose to participate and actively go out and recruit those veterans."
Governor Walker declared this the year of the veteran.
