Disabled Hunters Project
GREEN BAY, WI - Green Bay 8th graders helped build deer hunting stands Monday.
Students at Holy Cross School paired up with Wisconsin Public Service workers to build the new stands for disabled hunters who participate in a special hunting event. The students held a fundraiser to pay for the supplies to build the stands.
Greg Egtvedt, Wisconsin Public Service Environmental Manager says, "The kids are fantastic. I will tell you that after figuring out how to get things done, we've basically been able to stand back and let them do their thing. They're working very good together."
The disabled hunting event takes place every year near Necedah.
