BUCHANAN  - A Fox Valley man is facing charges after investigators say he put up a hidden camera in the basement of his Buchanan home to capture women without their clothes on.

Gary Weyenberg was charged Thursday in Outagamie County Court. If convicted, he could face up to 13 years behind bars.

The investigation into 54-year-old Weyenberg began in January of this year. According to the criminal complaint, Weyenberg's wife provided the Outagamie County Sheriff's Department with three DVDs that she found inside their home. They included clips of two different women showering in the couple's downstairs basement.

When confronted by police, Weyenberg acknowledged that he made the recordings, saying, "I don't know. I was just screwing around... seeing what I could do with a hidden camera."

Weyenberg's wife told police she found other pornographic videos in the basement, but destroyed them before deciding to come forward.

When asked by the deputy, Weyenberg said he only watched each video one time to see what he recorded. He added that he had been planning to get rid of the videos, but just hadn't had the time.

He is facing three felony charges of capturing nude images without consent and three misdemeanor privacy invasion charges.

Investigators say the videos were recorded in 2010. Weyenberg is set to make his initial court appearance on May 31st.
