Wisconsin Tourisim Up From 2011
New tourism numbers show people are visiting Wisconsin--and getting the taste of cherries!
The state Department of Tourism says last year visitors shelled out major cash in Door County--up to $271-million. That's up 1.6 percent from 2010. The county ranked 8th in visitor spending among the state's 72 counties.
Overall, tourists spent $9.9 billion in Wisconsin last year--an 8-percent increase from 2010.
