Shawano-- The Shawano school district is the latest to try and curb underage drinking at prom by using breathalyzer test for students. Every student will be tested for alcohol before entering prom. It is an effort to cut down on drinking at school sponsored events. School administrators say drinking has been a problem at past dances.
Students and parents say it's worth the hassle of being checked at the door to know rowdy styudents who have been drinking could ruin the prom.
Shawano's prom is next weekend.
