DE PERE, WI - The skyline at St. Norbert College will look a little different for the next two weeks.
That’s because the cupola on Main Hall was taken off this morning, so a leaky roof could be repaired. The cupola holds the cross, like a steeple, and it has a slate roof. It weighs about 6,000 pounds.
Main hall houses the Administration offices at the college. The 109-year-old cupola was removed very carefully.
Crews will take advantage of the two weeks by giving the cupola a facelift.
