Some Mega Millions Winners in Wisconsin
MADISON, Wis. (AP) - The three lottery tickets that hit the $640 million Mega Millions jackpot were sold in Illinois, Kansas and Maryland, but three other tickets sold in Wisconsin are each worth $250,000.
The Wisconsin Lottery says those tickets were sold in Eau Claire, Richfield and Walworth.
The state also had 13 tickets worth $10,000 each. Friday night's winning Mega Millions numbers were 2, 4, 23, 38 and 46, and the Mega Ball was 23.
Wisconsin sold $9.3 million worth of Mega Millions tickets for this drawing, including $6.2 million sold on Friday alone.
Americans spent nearly $1.5 billion for a chance to hit the main jackpot. It amounts to a $462 million lump sum and around $347 million after federal taxes are withheld.
