Deer Czar's Report
Wisconsin's deer czar says there are major problems with how the DNR monitors the deer herd.
Dr. James Kroll was hired by Governor Walker to review deer management strategies. He just released his first report, which shows the DNR uses outdated and questionable data to build its population estimates. It also claims they use outdated methods to track deer registrations.
The DNR says it welcomes the report and is always looking to improve.
