NWTC Job Fair Draws Large Crowd
Green Bay, WI - It was a great day for job seekers at Northeast Wisconsin Technical College in Green Bay.
Hundreds of students and recent graduates came out for Tuesday's campus career fair.
More than 90 different employers were on hand offering jobs in a number of different fields.
Organizers say the need for skilled manufacturers is especially high.
"Students who are coming out of technical colleges are the types of folks that manufacturers like Georgia Pacific are looking for. Someone who's beyond high school training, but had some more specialized technical, maybe electrical mechanical training," said Mike Kawleski with Georgia Pacific.
Tuesday's event turned out to be the college's largest career fair ever.
