A new Marquette University poll shows Mitt Romney with a smaller lead in Wisconsin compared to past polls.

The report shows Romney with a 39 to 31 percent lead over Rick Santorum.

A Rasmussen poll last Friday showed Romney ahead by 13 percent.

Ron Paul received 11 percent support in the new Marquette poll.

Newt Gingrich was fourth, with just five percent.

The Marquette poll was conducted after Santorum's busy weekend criss-crossing the state, while Mitt Romney has not appeared the Badger State yet.

Tuesday, Santorum was back at it - holding rallies in Beaver Dam, Hartford and Janesville. His tour continues this weekend in Milwaukee.

Callista Gingrich made a campaign stop for her husband Tuesday in Wausau. Mrs. Gingrich told the crowd she firmly believes her husband's campaign is built on the promise of a better America. She'll join her husband for stops at Marquette University on Thursday, then at Kroll's West in Green Bay on Friday.
