Oneida WWII Veterans Honored
Oneida, WI - It's the Year of the Veteran, and three members of the Greatest Generation were honored in Oneida Monday.
The three WWII veterans were all members of the Oneida Nation. There are many Oneida veterans who participated in the war.
Monday, the three men shared their stories, and talked about the sacrifices their families had to make.
"They came from families - these are people who really realize there was a warm going on, and because their family member left home to go into the military in time of war, you don't know if that person's going to return," said WWII Veteran Roy Huff.
The men say it was an honor to be recognized by their community.
