GREEN BAY, WI - A new report says the New Orleans Saints issued a bounty on Packers Quarterback Aaron Rodgers. The NFL said at least 22 Saints Defensive players have taken part in the bounty program.

Packers teammate Jordy Nelson talks about the knockout prize issued on the leader of the Pack and NFL MVP during the NFL kickoff last season between the Packers and the Saints.

“I don’t think anyone’s out there in this league to hurt each other,” said Nelson. “I think we all know it's a game, everyone's trying to make a living and provide for their families."

Nelson added it would have been better if the Saints had taken care of this issue privately.

"When you get that opportunity, without getting in public, and they didn't do that,” he said “That's real disappointing."

NBC26 asked the Packers for a response to the bounty allegations; a spokesperson said they had no reaction.

But today, fans said they are not happy about these targets.

“If I was his offense line, I would say bring it on, we got something for you,” said Chris Kangas. “And I think Aaron will take the same approach."

"Even though it is what they do for a living, it should be fun,” said Heidi Kangas. “It shouldn't be about hurting each other."

Besides Rodgers, Kurt Warner and Brett Farve were also reportedly targets of the Saint’s bounty.

NFL Commissioner, Roger Goodell has said that discipline against the Saints could include fines, suspensions and loss of draft picks.
