GREEN BAY, WI - A new shelter is opening its doors in Green Bay.
Transformation House is a faith-based shelter designed specifically for men. The 30-bed facility on Jefferson Street is designed to help men in need regain their independence. Organizers say the shelter was created after founders recognized a big need in the area.
Pastor Manuelus Reacco, Transformation House President says, "When I looked around the Green Bay area, we see there are a lot of facilities for women with children and families, but not men."|
The shelter is open to men over the age of 18. volunteers will provide counseling, financial guidance and job search assistance.
