US 41 At Mason Closing
Green Bay, WI-- Drivers who use Mason St. at US 41as a part of their daily drive are running out of time to plan a detour. The 41 and Mason St. interchange and all the ramps from Mason to 41 are closing at midnight.
A stretch of Mason from Hinkle to Taylor streets is also being shut down. Some businesses owners in the construction zone expect to see a drop in sales by as much as 30% while others are optimistic customers will find a way to their stores, despite the detours.
For now, it's business as usual at Schlotzsky's Deli on Mason St. "Business has been excellent, our sales are up 30 percent over a year ago," said owner Ken Schauer.
To help offset any potential loss, Schauer plans on running TV and radio ads soon, something he hasn't done in 8 years.
The $29 million dollar project is set to be competeed by August.
