Antigo, WI - A small northern Wisconsin community is shocked by the arrest of a principal and high school football coach on drug charges, and they're not alone. The marijuana trafficking investigation in Antigo also includes the principal's brother-in-law and a retired special education teacher. As the investigation continues, more teachers are being named, and have been suspended by the school district that's reeling from the arrests.

The criminal complaint outlines eight felony counts against the principal and football coach John Lund. But also named are potential customers in the drug ring. Many of those potential customers are also co-workers.

Langlade County Sheriff Bill Greening says this may be just the beginning.

"I certainly expect additional arrests in this case," said Langlade County Sheriff Bill Greening.

A Langlade County drug investigation has led to felony charges against a grade school principal and football coach, 47-year old John Lund, his brother-in-law, 46-year old Bradley Maahs, and former special education teacher and coach, 55-year old Scot Peterson. Prosecutors say the men bought and sold marijuana--the teachers sold the drugs right of their homes. But as details of the investigation became public, a list of potential drug buyers did too. Teachers from the Antigo School District and Merrill School District have been named.

"The school district has taken action, because of their alleged involvement, and also suspended them," said Greening.

It's a story that has shaken this small community. Dan Quartaro played football for coach Lund.

"I really liked him. It just makes me lose respect," said Dan Quartaro, a former Antigo High School student.

Justin Flack says he had Peterson for class.

"One of them was my teacher. It didn't seem like he did that. I've been out to his house before, and just completely shocked and disappointed in him," said Justin Flack, a former Antigo High School student.

"Doesn't matter who's involved in it. We have to investigate it in the same way. It's criminal activity," said Greening.

The sheriff says he does expect to make more arrests in this case. Meanwhile, the three men are due back in court, next month.
