WRIGHTSTOWN-- Braving the cold to be a hero. That's what more than a hundred runners did Saturday at Mid Valee Golf Course.
It was the Desert Veterans of Wisconsin's first annual Winter Warrior 5-k. Organizers say it's a fun and unique way to raise money in January. The event took in about $2500 for the charity. The money raised will help military veterans and their families.
