A five million dollar alumni donation to Lawrence University will upgrade and overhaul the college's film studies program.
Tom and Julie Hurvis gave the school the money which will go towards creating the Hurvis Center for Interdisciplinary Film Studies.
The center will revamp the lower level of the commons and provide a new screening venue. The university hopes to have the new center completed within two years.
