Kaukaune Gets a New Siren
If you live in the Kaukauna area you now have a new line of defense against violent storms. This new Siren is now up and running near the intersection of county highways J and double J.
Outagamie County emergency management says, "It's an area that has seen a lot of growth in recent years and neighbors were concerned they weren't hearing The warning sirens.
Christina Muller states, "This Saturday, residents will be hearing that siren for the first time, and we wanted to get the word out so they're not surprised when they're outside and they hear this loud noise."
Emergency management leaders stress the sirens are only meant to be heard outside. They suggest you use a NOAA weather radio indoors to warn you when severe weather is approaching.
