Investigators are still trying to determine what caused a plane carrying a Brazilian soccer team to crash in Columbia.

Only six people survived out of the 81 passengers on board the plane.

Expressions of grief poured in from all over the soccer world.

NBC26's Raquel Lamal had chance to interview Derek Rhodes, the general manager at the Sports Emporium in De Pere and the men's soccer coach at St. Norbert College.

Before Rhodes became a soccer coach, he played professional soccer in Brazil.

While Rhodes says he never played against the Chapecoense because they were in division four and his team was in division three at the time, he does say that the Chapecoense quickly climbed the ranks.

Rhodes also says there is currently as petition by Atletico Nacional, the Columbian team who was supposed to play against Chapecoense, to award the title of the Copa Sudamerica Tournament to the team who was killed in the plane crash.
