Local Pearl Harbor Remembrance Ceremonies

Oshkosh AmVets Post #7 will host the 2016 Pearl Harbor Remembrance ceremony at the Elks Lodge located at 175 West Fernau Avenue in Oshkosh, WI. 
 
The ceremony in open to the public and begins promptly at 7:55 a.m. on Wednesday, December 7th. 
 
The event Master of Ceremonies is LTC (ret) Michael Hert and Dick Campbell will be the program guest speaker. Mr. Campbell is a local historian whose speech will focus on the actual events that occurred at Pearl Harbor whereby Imperial Japan's military unleashed its military airpower in a surprise attack on the United States military during that early Sunday morning on December 7th 1941. Mr. Campbell will salute those heroic men and women for their bravery and courage on that historic day.

AMVETS Post 30 of Greenville is planning to meet on December 7th at 7:00 p.m. at the Greenville Memorial site to pay homage with a candlelight vigil to those who died during the attack on Pearl Harbor 75 years ago. They will also celebrate those who survived. 
 
AMVETS Post 30 encourages area residents, especially veterans, to come join in on prayers and words reflecting that period.
